GymiRun Privacy Policy

GymiRun is an iOS-first running and running-club application developed by Erim Şengezer. This Privacy Policy explains what information GymiRun may collect, how it may be used, and how we approach privacy.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use GymiRun, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account and authentication information.
• Profile information you provide in the app.
• Running activity data such as duration, distance, pace, route points, timestamps, and activity summaries.
• Location data while you are recording an outdoor run.
• Club application, membership, and event participation information.
• Device, crash, diagnostics, and app usage data used to improve reliability and product quality.

2. Location Data

GymiRun uses location data to record outdoor runs, calculate distance and pace, and show route summaries. Location data is used only when needed for run tracking or related product functionality.

GymiRun does not sell personal location data to advertisers. Route visibility is designed to be privacy-aware and controlled by product rules. Full GPS routes are not intended to be publicly exposed by default.

3. Health and Workout Data

If health-related or workout-related features are enabled and you grant permission, GymiRun may process limited workout or health-related information. Such data is used to provide app functionality and is not used for advertising.

4. Clubs, Applications, and Community Data

GymiRun includes club and community features. When you apply to a club or join an event, relevant information may be shown to club administrators or organizers so they can manage applications, membership, or participation.

GymiRun aims to minimize unnecessary exposure of sensitive activity details. For example, full GPS routes should not be shared with club administrators by default unless a specific product flow clearly allows it.

5. Third-Party Services

GymiRun may use third-party services for authentication, backend infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, and platform functionality. These may include:

• Supabase for backend, authentication, and database services.
• Apple services, including Sign in with Apple and platform capabilities.
• Google Sign-In, where available.
• Firebase or similar tools for analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting.

6. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

• Provide run tracking and activity history.
• Support club applications, memberships, and events.
• Sync activities across the app and backend systems.
• Improve app reliability, performance, and safety.
• Prevent abuse, spam, or misuse of community features.
• Provide customer support and respond to requests.

7. Data Sharing

GymiRun does not sell personal GPS routes, personal location data, or personal health data. For partnerships or community reports, GymiRun may use aggregate, privacy-safe metrics such as total participants, total runs, or total distance. These reports should not include raw GPS routes or personally identifiable health data.

8. Account Deletion

Users may request or perform account deletion through the app where available. Account deletion may remove or anonymize data according to technical, legal, and operational requirements.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no digital service can guarantee perfect security. Users should also protect their accounts and devices.

10. Children

GymiRun is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use digital services without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without proper consent, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as GymiRun evolves. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this version became effective.
